Shishuone Curriculum is designed by a team of Early Education Experts, with focus on incorporating activities that enhance and develop each child’s skills and allows each child to learn in the learning style he or she prefers.
The curriculum focuses on the development of the child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside. The curriculum caters to children’s developmental abilities and supports their cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
The curriculum is based on following 5 Principles:

  1. Integrated Approach built on Brain Research
Theorist / Researcher : John Dewey, Caine & Caine Tony Buzan
    Key Applications :
-Children do not think in subjects i.e. knowledge is not compartmentalized.
-In order to make meaning, the brain seeks patterns, connections, and relationships between the new and the known.
  2. Developmentally Appropriate
Theorist/Researcher : Jean Piaget Lev Vygotsky
    Key Application:
-Creating environments, curriculum, materials and instruction that are challenging yet consistent with child’s developmental needs. Providing guided teacher mentoring
  3. Children as constructors of knowledge
Therosists/Researcher: Maria Montessori , Rudolf Steiner
    Key Application :
-When activities are engaging in a meaningful and developmentally appropriate way they can be a powerful source of education.
  4. Engaging children in learning through purposeful play
Therosists/Researcher : Friedrich Froebel, Sara Smilansky
    Key Applications
-Play helps facilitate creative expression and learning
  5. Developing Multiple Intelligences in children
    Therosists/Researcher : Howard Gardner
    Key Applications
-The MI Theory includes the notion that each person is smart in all 8 types of intelligence. But every person is smart to varying degrees of expertise in each of the intelligences, stronger in some ways and less developed in others. Experiences play a key role in nurturing the intelligences
